	Gamers don't HATE women - just the clothed ones.
	Fighting games are often known for their outlandish plots, skimpily dressed female characters, and addictive gameplay. One fighting series, Soul Calibur, won rave reviews and sold massive amounts of products. To me, the best game in this series was the first I played: Soul Calibur II. I quickly warmed up to the character of Isabella "Ivy" Valentine: the product of rape between a zombie pirate and a barmaid, given to an English noble who was addicted to an evil sword. (I told you the plots were outlandish...) She started out as unwittingly evil, being manipulated by the evil characters. And her costume was this: Which I love. It's obvious that she's a broad, strong woman, her tits are covered, she looks completely badass, and yeah, it's sexy as hell without being LOOK AT THIS, GUYS! In the sequel, Ivy turns anti-hero and decides to associate everyone destroyed with the evil sword, and when her task is done, she will turn her blade upon herself. Which is intensely badass, and makes me like her even more. The only problem is, Namco realized that they had accidently covered up tits and this simply could not do. So Ivy turned from the daughter of an english lord to... a dominatrix.... thing. Yes, that was their inspiration. Behold! As long as we're being honest with each other? I don't completely hate it. It looks a lot better in concept art than it does in game. And I mean, she's still somewhat covered. Her legs are covered. Maybe I'm denial, or maybe it was because it was the first game I played, or maybe its because she still has the same general build as she did in 1, just showing a little more skin off. But it gets worse. Oh yes. I hated this, absolutely loathed it, when I first saw this. Now, a couple of years later, I actually like it a little more. The costume itself that is. But they changed her body. She looks thinner, her thighs and shoulders look smaller, and they gave her a boobjob. Poor Ivy. It must be a bitch to find bras in 1529 that will fit you underneath your shoulderless metal corset and provide support for your H sized boobs. But it gets worse. Behold, Ivy Valentine in the upcoming Soul Calibur IV. SHE HAS AN ASS ON HER CHEST You win, Namco! I recognize that your treehouse has a "NO GIRLS ALLOWED" sign stapled very firmly to the front. I will make sure I do not dare to go anywhere near your treehouse, because girls are very clearly not allowed. Are you satisfied yet? Or are you just going to make one of my favorite characters in gaming naked next. Why don't you just give her a shoestring to dress in, you overbearing sexist idiots. This is really only more reason to buy Super Smash Brothers Brawl, really. But it still irritates me that they desecrate a game character I liked so much. Sigh. Tags: gaming, gaming industry, sexism

You know, I kind of like that first dominatrix thing, I think mostly because she looks both muscular but also semi-realistic (well, if she had somewhat smaller or at least less orb-like boobs). I don't like the positioning of her body so much, especially not the arms above the head thing, as if sort of tied up by her own weapon. The shrinking of her lower half and blowing-up of her upper half that the other two show, though, is pretty ick -- as well as the more complicated, more "help I'm tied up by, uh, myself" outfits and positioning.

Actually, there are some other features that also change along with the boobness -- consider also the progress of the shoes from weighty boots to dainty heels, as well as the growing focus on that arm-thing. The latter is really interesting to me, since it seems like that feature would be threatening, but it seems like it doesn't quite naturally fit her in the latter two pictures as well as it does in the first, like she's got this evil alien arm with a mind of it's own which she too is a victim of or something. In the first picture, that arm is one of many things going on, and is clearly of only secondary attention after the strength of her own body, whereas in the last one, it's almost as if there are two characters in the picture -- first, the big scary arm, and secondly, the gigantic boobs positioned as if to hide behind said arm. Hmm.

NATO takes over command of military operations in Libya

[b]NATO is taking over command of military operations in Libya from coalition forces, world media reported Sunday.[/b]

The UN Security Council imposed the no-fly zone over Libya on March 17, along with ordering "all necessary measures" to protect civilians from Muammar Gaddafi's attacks on rebel-held towns.

The 28 NATO ambassadors met on Sunday to decide on further military plans in Libya.

The United States transfers command for a no-fly zone over Libya to NATO, while coalition forces will continue to protect civilian population from attacks by Gaddafi forces.

The military operation in Libya, codenamed Odyssey Dawn, has been conducted so far jointly by 13 states, including the United States, Britain and France.

NATO members decided on Thursday to assume responsibility for the enforcement of a no-fly zone in Libya, but could not agree on taking full command of all military operations in the country.

Meanwhile, leaders of the 27 European Union states on Thursday issued a statement saying the EU stood ready to assist in building a new Libya "in cooperation with the United Nations, the Arab League, the African Union and others."
